The Story Behind - At The Centre
what is at your centre?
at the centre of you, your life, your thoughts?
As I created this piece, this was the question I kept returning to. I work from the outside in, building layer upon layer, moving closer to the core. As the work developed, I realised how powerful this process is as a metaphor.
Life often begins in the outer layers - the noise, the expectations, the experiences, the patterns we move througheach day. But as we slow down, reflect and heal, we move inward, toward something quieter, something more true.
The blues in this space are intentional - the calming, restorative tones speak to the gentle work of healing the mind and heart, softening old wounds and creating space for clarity. Our lives are made up of repeating patterns and evolving moments, memories, emotions and experiences that shape us. Everything shifts and changes, yet something remains constant.
Our centre holds us steady.
So the question is simple:
What is at your centre?
